Beware of fake websites: a submission to the Stop Digital Voter Suppression™ Project

A volunteer reporter, Laura from the Massachusetts region, recently made our SDVS team aware of digital voter suppression in the form of a fake website.

She shared her own vetting process too about this particular site. Laura writes:

Reely.io is a fake website created to prop up a Twitter account that is spreading lies about the election, and per the whois appears to have been registered from Eastern Europe. I have reported the Twitter account, notified HubSpot, and sent an email about it to abuse@godaddy.com.

https://whois.domaintools.com/reely.io
https://twitter.com/ReelyCoding/with_replies
https://www.reely.io/

Their [@ReelyCoding‘s] main Tweets and bio appear legit but their replies are full of hateful propaganda. They have been targeting me with hateful @spam at @Pistachio in the context of my #KeepSharingtheMic posts.
